We will be starting our lacrosse unit this week! Our students absolutely love participating
in our lacrosse activities and games. We will begin with our stretches and exercises like always. We will then move on to practice our pacer test with grades 2-5. K-1 will do their 3 minute jog/walk. After cardio, lacrosse activities will begin! We will start with ground balls, which is essential in the sport of lacrosse. After the ground ball warmup, we will move into carrying and moving around the gym while holding onto a lacrosse ball. The next activity will focus on catching with the lacrosse sticks. Students will work by themselves to really focus on this skill. At the end of class, we will then move on to partner throwing for grades 2-5. Grades K and 1 will continue to work by themselves while throwing against the wall. We are set to have a busy week and we are really looking forward to it!!
